Hi! I'm Nour, a French-Lebanese nomadic illustrator and designer.
I graduated from the American University of Beirut (Lebanon) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History, and from l'Institut d'Etudes Supérieures des Arts (Paris) in 2010 with a Masters in Multimedia Design and project management. I then started working as a freelance designer and illustrator, while pursuing a Research Masters in Art History at the Sorbonne University in Paris. I do both print and web design, and my work is a combination of illustration, design and lettering.
I create music-inspired prints for my online shop Draw Me a Song, an experimental project that explores the fusion between music and visual art. The project won the Deutsche Bank Creative Award (2011) as well as a PACEIM grant and mentorship (2014), and was selected as a semi-finalist in the MIT Business Plan Competition (2012).
I love typography, photography, pop art, pretty patterns, mermaids, Tim Burton, Disney films, toys, unicorns, comic books, street art, polka dots, and everything vintage. And also, cats. Music, pop culture, and the whimsical world of childhood are my biggest sources of inspiration.
In August 2016, I left Paris where I had been living and running Draw Me a Song. I've been living nomadically since, traveling wherever my intuition takes me while working as an independent illustrator and designer as well as remotely running the shop, focusing exclusively on the creative part of the business.
