13 Amazing Women of Arabia

I was asked to design the cover of the book 13 Amazing Women of Arabia, by 13-year-old Dana Al Blooshi, the UAE’s youngest author, and first Emirati child to be trained at NASA.

13 Amazing Women of Arabia celebrates 13 inspiring women from the Arab world – they changed the world, left their mark, and opened up a path for future generations of girls from the region. In this inspiring book, 13-year-old Dana Alblooshi recounts the stories of the extraordinary Arab women who have inspired her: from ballerinas to politicians, aviators to businesswomen, and scientists to sportswomen.

When Dana was nine she trained at NASA and became the youngest Emirati to do so. Dana and her brother Adeeb then went on to become the youngest students in history to discuss scientific research on full-scale projects at the National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester. With these impressive accolades behind her and plenty of trail left to blaze in future, Dana pays tribute in this debut book to 13 inspiring women from fields as diverse as science, government, fashion, business, sports and more.
